I would like Barry and anyone else from "Back in the Day" that could help in creating the most definitive history of Dance Music without personal prejudices as in "Love Saves the Day". It is very important that there at least be one book that honestly and completely as possible documents the history of Dance Music for future generations. I have always admired your passion for Dance Music even when you are so far away and Life was not so easy. Please get Barry to help you and when the time is right I promise to help to get it published. Good luck!

Yahu Pawul has spent decades researching, interviewing and compiling articles that document the historic rise of the world’s dance music explosion. Reaching back to learn of, track down and interview both musical artists and Disco DJ Pioneers demonstrates Yahu’s love and dedication to the dance music industry. For those of us who lived through the 70’s, went to the Disco Techs, and fully appreciated the talent and innovation that night club DJ’s contributed to the evolution of dance music, Yahu’s hard work and dedication are greatly appreciated. A mixing DJ is truly an artist, matching beats and blending the rhythms, on phrase, to take music from just being a bunch of good songs, to a euphoric, night club dance experience. Mixing dance music started out in a few New York City Dance Clubs and then the mixing techniques were picked up by DJ’s in the other larger cities, both on the East and the West Coasts of American, then it moved to Europe and across the entire planet, with continual innovation adding to the art form. What started out as “American Disco Music” a blending of Rock, Motown, Latin, Soul and Funk, morphed into, Freestyle, Rap, Hip-Hop and House. The Night Club DJ’s of today, continue to build on the foundation that began in the mid 70’s and Yahu has done an excellent job documenting it all. A must have compilation for anyone who truly loves dance music!

This is a unique book from a highly experienced disc jockey with a lifetime's experience of international disco history. Yahu has studied in considerable detail the worldwide disco scene for four or more decades. He is especially good on the disco history of the USA, the UK and mainland Europe, including Eastern Europe during the dark days of Communism. I know nobody with such a passion and comprehensive collection of data on this subject. This man eats, drinks and breathes disco history. Forget the superficial accounts of disco history by people whose knowledge is limited or merely self-promoting. You're unlikely to find anything to match Yahu's masterwork. If you're serious about disco history, this book is an absolute must.

Capturing the essence of our disco history is vital. All of this must be preserved so that the legacy of what we've accomplished can be witnessed by many. Great job by Yahu!!!
