Tom Moulton - Inventor of 12" maxi disco single + First DJ-Remixer

Inventor of 12" maxi disco single was DJ and producer Tom Moulton who first had begun to mix two 7" - 45rpm singles of the same song in order to create longer versions - more danceable tracks. * Salsoul Records made 12" single commercially available for the first time on May 1976. That was Double Exposure - "Ten Percent " (SALSOUL 12D-2008). BUT(!) earlier 12" catalogue number is Carol Williams "More" (Salsoul 12D-2006) - but release later.
